Job summary

Stantec in Canada (Vancouver area) seeks a Construction Leader to oversee field construction management across critical infrastructure projects including substations, power generation, and transmission. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

The position focuses on on-site oversight, preconstruction planning, and outage integration, with occasional office visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of Construction Management experience on brownfield/live generation or similar projects.
• Experience overseeing General Contractors and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage safety plans on live HV/substation sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide preconstruction services, develop procedures and review contract documents.
• Oversee construction management activities to ensure design, budget and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate outages, commissioning plans and start-up requirements.
• Review integrity of QA/QC, RFPs and submittals with risk and opportunity framing.
• Lead on-site inspectors, manage documentation controls and daily reports.
