Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Prototype programming solutions for partners' needs.
  • Conduct literature reviews and write reports.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for field/lab operations.
  • Data collection, cleaning, and preliminary analysis.
  • Assist in project documentation and NDAs adherence.

Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

Job Duties

The Student Research Assistant works collaboratively with various industry partners/clients to help with their digital needs. This position reports to a Research Manager, however Student Research Assistant will be a part of a project where additional direction may be provided by different Senior Researchers or Research Managers. A Student Research Assistant, works closely with peers to perform literature reviews, write research reports, as well as perform technical needs of the project which may include programming, installing software, creating datasets, cleaning data, and tuning machine learning models.

  • Programming software solution prototypes as defined by our partners/clients.
  • Conducting research and literature reviews.
  • Preparing equipment/materials for field/laboratory operations.
  • Data gathering/entry and maintaining integrity of data collected.
  • Collate data collected and perform preliminary data analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including proposal progress reports, technical reports, and user manuals as required.
  • Adhere to non-disclosure agreements.
  • Adhere to all relevant field/laboratory safety precautions.
  • Perform general field/laboratory equipment maintenance duties.
  • Work with others in fostering a cooperative and supportive team environment.

  • Must be a student or recent grad.
  • Minimum of completed or currently completing diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in AI and ML.
