Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Welder for a contract-to-hire role based in Aldersyde, AB. You will perform structural welding in a shop, with lifting up to 50 lbs, layout and fitting, and quality testing of welds.

The job requires reading blueprints and operating band saw, shear, and drill press, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule. On-site work in a growing, family-owned facility near Calgary.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in FCAW welding.
• Experience in a fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to fit and weld structural steel.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• CWB certification (FCAW horizontal).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel and aluminum products.
• Layout, setup, and fitting of materials for welding.
• Conduct quality testing on completed welds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and P&ID.
• Operate machinery including band saw, shear, and drill press.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
