Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and shop equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, or specifications.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate through systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Team player with good verbal communication and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Welders with preparation, handling, and positioning of materials for welding.
• Prepare materials for welding using hand tools, grinders and equipment as directed.
• Assist with measuring, marking, cutting, and preparing materials per drawings or work instructions.
• Support set-up and movement of materials, components, and equipment.
• Conduct basic checks of tools and equipment for safety and functionality.
• Identify material or quality concerns to Welders or Supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with Welders, QC, Shipper/Receiver, and others.
• Keep work area organized and properly store materials and tools.
• Keep assigned area clean and free of hazards.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and wear PPE.
