Job summary
Aerotek is seeking an experienced CWB Welder for our Calgary, AB fabrication shop. You will weld steel structural skids and related components for processing units in the oil and gas sector, mainly in flat position using MCAW and FCAW processes, from raw material through to finished units under one roof.
Join a high-volume, safety-focused environment with crane-assisted fabrication, blueprints/P&IDs interpretation, and time-based production targets.
Qualifications
- Valid CWB MCAW ticket for flat position welding.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural welding.
- Experience welding structural steel in a production environment.
- Proficient in FCAW and MCAW processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs.
- Able to weld in flat and horizontal positions.
- Journeyman or Apprentice Welder (1st year+).
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld steel structural skids.
- Weld from raw steel to finished units in-house.
- Interpret blueprints and P&IDs for layout and fit-up.
- Use cranes and rigging to position large assemblies.
- Follow production welding procedures and time targets.
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance.
