Job summary

Strathcona County is seeking a collaborative Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full-cycle recruitment and talent attraction across the organization from Edmonton, Alberta. You will work with TA Partners, HR colleagues and hiring leaders to deliver a seamless candidate experience.

This 1 full-time temporary role runs through Jan 31, 2027, with responsibilities spanning postings, scheduling, sourcing, onboarding support and data reporting. Strong communication and system skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Related training or certificate in Human Resources, Business, Management or an equivalent discipline, plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience supporting high volume recruitment.
• Knowledge of HR policies, staffing processes and terms of employment; experience across recruitment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment activities: job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, assessments, reference checks, background checks and post-offer coordination.
• Manage inquiries and provide timely updates to candidates throughout the process.
• Work with Oracle and other recruitment systems to support resume screening, ATS/CRM, offer documents and candidate records.
• Coordinate career fairs, campus recruitment activities and information sessions.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines via LinkedIn, job boards and Boolean searches.
• Maintain recruitment materials and SharePoint content; ensure templates and tools are up-to-date.
• Support diversity and employer brand initiatives and recruitment marketing.
• Compile data, dashboards, metrics and reporting on advertising and effectiveness.
• Contribute to training, system support and continuous improvement projects.
