In this role, you won't just fill positions—you will shape our employer brand, fuel our candidate pipelines, and elevate our recruitment programs (with a strong focus on student and early-career engagement). Working closely with talent leadership, you will combine data-driven research, storytelling, and event execution to help us attract and retain the best talent in the industry.

Advantages
  • Diverse Skill Development Beyond Standard Recruiting Unlike traditional high-volume recruiter roles focused solely on screening and placing candidates, this role builds a multi-faceted skill set in employer branding, event execution, market intelligence, and program strategy.
  • Direct Exposure to High-Visibility Programs Working closely with the Lead, Talent Acquisition & Programs gives you a direct seat at the table to shape campus recruitment and early-career strategy, offering great visibility with senior HR leadership.
  • Creative & Storytelling Freedom You get to flex your creative side by conducting employee interviews, capturing authentic company culture, and creating social media content that directly shapes how the organization is perceived in the market.
  • Strategic Market & Competitor Insights By benchmarking competitor practices and researching national talent acquisition trends, you’ll develop a deep, data-driven understanding of the hiring landscape—an invaluable asset for long-term career growth in HR strategy.
  • A Dynamic, Team-Oriented Environment In a major Calgary-based organization with large-scale operations, no two days look the same. You get the perfect balance of hands-on event coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic project support.
Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination & Execution: Support recruitment events and hiring campaigns end-to-end by managing logistics, preparing promotional materials, and leading dynamic on-site candidate engagement.
  • Talent Insights & Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of key talent segments to inform targeted, highly effective sourcing and hiring strategies.
  • Competitor & Market Research: Benchmark competitor recruitment practices, identify key market trends, and uncover opportunities for our employer brand to stand out.
  • Employer Brand Storytelling: Conduct interviews with current team members to draft compelling employee spotlight stories and craft engaging social media content for our recruitment campaigns.
  • Student Program Development: Partner closely with the Lead, Talent Acquisition & Programs to share student insights, evaluate early-career trends, and recommend impactful program enhancements.
  • General TA Support: Assist with ad-hoc talent acquisition initiatives and team projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, campus recruitment, or HR operations.
  • Event & Logistics Skills: Proven ability to organize and execute recruitment events or hiring fairs smoothly.
  • Content & Branding Savvy: Strong written communication skills with experience creating engaging social media content or employee stories.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable researching market trends and turning candidate feedback into actionable program recommendations.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for building trust across teams and engaging with candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Location: Based in or willing to commute to Calgary, AB.
