Job summary

Rural Municipalities of Alberta is seeking a Supplier Development Manager Jasper Alberta for a remote, full-time role. The position focuses on building supplier relationships, providing strategic guidance, and supporting procurement planning across Canada.

The role involves educating suppliers on cooperative purchasing, managing supplier performance, and collaborating with internal teams to align contract strategies with Canoe's mission.

Qualifications

• Completion of related post-secondary degree or diploma (Business Administration preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in contract management, supplier relations, or procurement, preferably in municipal or non-profit environment.
• Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify new program opportunities and suppliers.
• Educate suppliers on Canoe's values, compliance requirements, and cooperative purchasing benefits.
• Attend trade shows to research new categories, suppliers, and programs.
• Coordinate contracts launch activities with Marketing, Client Relations and Finance.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers on contracts and compliance.
• Track engagement, performance metrics and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Attend supplier meetings and events; build strong relationships with Sourcewell counterparts.
