Job summary

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking a Supervisor, Strategic Procurement to lead the development and execution of strategic procurement initiatives.

You will guide teams across policy compliance, supplier relationships, and performance measurement, ensuring sustainability and value for money in a large public organization based in Fort McMurray. You will also provide training to staff to strengthen procurement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive experience in a public procurement environment.
• Two years of leadership experience.
• Experience in a public sector environment with unionized employees is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and improve procurement processes in a public organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives aligned with municipal policies and goals.
• Lead research, data analysis, and execution of changes to support sustainability and efficiency.
• Provide guidance on procurement policies and oversee performance metrics and reporting.
