Job summary

TechDoQuest in Toronto is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to oversee the organization’s software assets, licensing, and compliance. The role collaborates with IT, procurement, finance and legal to maintain records and support audits.

Ideal candidates have strong SAM knowledge, experience with Remedy/SNOW/ServiceNow, ITIL certifications, and a proven ability to drive process improvements and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software asset management principles and SAM tools such as Remedy, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro.
• Any SAM tool Architectural workflow understanding or Knowledge.
• CSAM Certification is good to have.
• Solid problem solving and consultative skillset.
• Strong presentation, communication, multitasking and time management skillset.
• Good communication skills displaying timely and accurate information sharing with active listening skillset.
• Knowledge of creating Project plan for the client.
• ITIL V3 or 4 certified
• Audit Readiness skillset.

Responsibilities

• Manage software assets and maintain accurate records across the organization.
• Support internal and external software audits and license compliance.
• Provide license consultations to stakeholders and escalate gaps.
• Develop and document SAM policies and processes.
• Collaborate with procurement on licensing contracts and renewals.
• Review contracts end-to-end to optimize usage and mitigate risks.
• Lead remediation plans to prevent production outages related to vendor obligations.
