Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled Site Portfolio Manager (SPM) to oversee a large security portfolio in Nanaimo. You will lead staff, assign sites, train, manage crises, payroll, discipline, coaching, and relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.

This role requires at least two years of supervisory experience in security, strong leadership, and familiarity with safety and privacy regulations. Occasional travel and a full-time schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent security-related education/experience.
• Minimum of two years supervisory/managerial experience in security, policing, or fire safety services.
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation and standards on safety, building codes, security and privacy protections.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, time management, social interaction and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for proposals to large orgs.
• Ability to foster new and mutually respectful client relationships.
• Ability to adapt to evolving client requirements and work effectively with clients.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Outgoing, sociable, adaptable, and detail-oriented personality.
• Ability to respond to crisis situations quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and key stakeholders through regular communication and support.
• Understand client needs, identify challenges, and adapt portfolio to client needs.
• Project staffing and scheduling to meet site requirements and control overtime.
• Ensure site orders are up to date in hard and digital copies.
• Maintain adequate trained security staff to meet contractual obligations.
• Analyze contract margins to keep portfolio profitable.
• Provide security evaluations and recommendations to clients.
• Report regularly to the Operations Manager on issues of interest or events.
• Monitor TEAM software to ensure scheduling accuracy and hours worked.
• Provide disciplinary action and coaching; conduct probationary and annual evaluations.
• Ensure Site Training and Employee Orientation at all sites.
• Maintain Paladin's Occupational Health and Safety program across sites.
• Investigate WCB forms and implement prevention plans.
• Monitor margins monthly/quarterly to sustain profitability and turnover control.
• Monitor daily/nightly and incident reports for oversight and action.
• Attend community networking events to expand Paladin's brand.
