Job summary

Securitas is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day security operations for an assigned account in Vancouver, BC. You will supervise frontline and supervisory personnel, ensure service standards, and maintain compliance while balancing client needs and cost control.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of professional experience with supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of security operations and supervisory best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear, concise reports.
• Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Client-first mindset with interpersonal credibility at all levels.
• Initiative, judgment, and a track record of delivering results.
• High standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.
• Valid provincial driver’s license.
• Availability to work assigned shifts including weekends, evenings, overnights, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift or segment of guarding operations across multiple sites with direct supervision of officers and supervisory staff.
• Conduct post inspections and audits to verify orders followed and service standards met.
• Take timely corrective action when service gaps or performance issues are identified.
• Build strong client relationships through regular contact, meetings, and proactive issue resolution.
• Support new client start-ups and contribute to security planning, risk assessments, and site surveys.
• Review post orders and communicate updates clearly to affected personnel.
• Onboard and develop a high-performing team, coaching and ensuring respectful treatment.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and equipment needs with line management; adjust schedules to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs.
• Review reports and records to confirm commitments are met and client directions followed.
• Ensure all personnel understand and comply with union laws, regulations, policies, and client requirements.
