Job summary

Paladin Security in Nanaimo,BC, is hiring Security Guards for our mobile patrol team. The role may require overnight shifts and physical endurance to cover large sites, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

You will perform patrols, write incident reports, monitor for breaches, provide first aid when needed, and communicate via two-way radios. Must hold a valid security license and be eligible to work in Canada; driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid security worker license.
• OFA 1 or higher is an asset.
• Physical fitness to walk for prolonged hours.
• Class 5 or 7N Driving License with clean abstract required.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency and day-to-day reports.
• Watch for irregularities, security breaches, hazards and contact responders as required.
• Provide first aid and medical response when required.
• Perform regular foot patrols to ensure security.
• Use two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.

Overview

We are currently accepting applications for Security Guards to join our mobile patrol team in Nanaimo , on Vancouver Island; in British Columbia. This position requires strong social perceptiveness and customer service skills. Sometimes, it may be physically demanding due to the size of the property and requires applicants to be able to work overnight shifts.

Wage: $21.00 - $23.00

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency and day to day reports
• Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations and contact emergency responders as required
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Perform regular foot patrols to ensure personnel, building and equipment security
• Utilize two way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers

• A strong working knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques

• Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision

Job Requirements

• Valid security worker license
