Job summary

Air Canada Vacations is seeking a Project Control Officer (PCO) to support project and program managers through governance, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. You will coordinate planning activities, maintain controls, and ensure alignment with approved scope, timelines, costs, and quality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, risk and issue management, and continuous process improvements in a dynamic travel industry environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, project management, information systems, engineering, or related field or equivalent combo.
• 3–5 years of experience in project controls, coordination, PMO support, or related roles.
• Experience monitoring scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.

Responsibilities

• Support project and program managers in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical-path information.
• Track project budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs, and variances; provide clear financial reporting to project leadership.
• Maintain governance records: risk, action, issue, decision logs; change requests; approvals; escalations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports, executive dashboards, steering committee materials, and ad hoc analyses.
• Monitor progress against baselines and KPIs; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate project meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Support resource planning: allocation, onboarding/offboarding, time reporting.
• Administer change-control processes; document impacts to scope, schedule, cost, resources, and benefits.
