Job summary

Pomerleau, a national leader in construction, seeks a Project Control Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Project Control Officer (PCO), you will coordinate daily project control activities and support rigorous monitoring of costs, schedule, risks, and changes.

You will collect, validate, and consolidate data, maintain control systems, and prepare periodic performance reports. Proficiency in French and English and willingness to travel across Quebec are required.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in project management, engineering, administration, or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in project control or related field.
• Good knowledge of project management principles.
• Knowledge of project management and project control tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Bilingualism in French and English required for cross-border stakeholders.
• Occasional travel across Quebec for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and consolidate project data.
• Keep project control systems, registers, and tools up to date.
• Participate in the preparation of periodic performance reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support cost control, planning, and progress tracking activities.
• Follow up on corrective actions and outstanding items.
• Prepare and coordinate follow-up meetings and related minutes.
• Ensure the application of project processes, procedures, and standards.
• Identify variances and report them to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and work methods.

• Bilingualism (French and English) is required, as the candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documents in both languages and will regularly interact with stakeholders located outside Quebec as part of national projects and initiatives.
• Occasional travel is required to various project sites and offices across Quebec, based on business needs.
