Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Project Controller to support data collection, validation, and consolidation across costs, schedule, risks, and changes. You will help maintain controls, generate performance reports, and monitor KPIs within a hybrid Canada-wide environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating cost control, planning, progress tracking, and ensuring adherence to established processes. Travel to project sites may be required; bilingualism in French and English is essential for nationwide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in project management, engineering, administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project control or a related field.
• Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
• Fluent in French and English; able to draft/review documents and interact with national stakeholders.

Under the supervision of the Project Control Officer (PCO) or their representative, the incumbent is responsible for the daily coordination of project control activities.

They participate in the collection, validation, and consolidation of data related to costs, schedule, progress, risks, and changes. They contribute to the production of the deliverables required to ensure rigorous monitoring of project performance.

What you will do

• Collect, validate, and consolidate project data.
• Keep project control systems, registers, and tools up to date.
• Participate in the preparation of periodic performance reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support cost control, planning, and progress tracking activities.
• Follow up on corrective actions and outstanding items.
• Prepare and coordinate follow-up meetings and related minutes.
• Ensure the application of project processes, procedures, and standards.
• Identify variances and report them to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and work methods.

This role could be for you if you have

• College or university degree in project management, engineering, administration, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in project control or a related field.
• Good knowledge of project management principles.
• Knowledge of project management and project control tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required, as the candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documents in both languages and will regularly interact with stakeholders located outside Quebec as part of national projects and initiatives.
• Occasional travel is required to various project sites and offices across Quebec, based on business needs.
