Job summary

RBC in Toronto seeks a Senior Director, Operations within Canadian Wealth Management Operations. You will oversee a large team, guide strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives.

The role requires senior leadership and strong collaboration with regulators and auditors to drive enterprise risk and performance. You will implement operational improvements, manage risk indicators, and support business continuity across Wealth Management Canada Operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services operations with regulatory exposure.
• Proven leadership of large, diverse teams and complex operations.
• Experience driving strategic change and risk mitigation.
• Experience in multi‑business line environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory oversight, risk mitigation, and strategic direction.
• Develop short- and long-term operating strategies and readiness.
• Act as liaison with regulators and external auditors; represent RBC.
• Oversee internal controls design, documentation, and improvement.
• Lead enterprise initiatives in strategy, tech upgrades, and efficiency.
• Monitor metrics, coach staff, and manage performance across teams.
• Support business continuity and regulatory examinations.
