Job summary

RBC is seeking a Director, Global Tax Operations in Toronto to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive global tax compliance and reporting across QI, FATCA, and CRS. You will partner with Wealth Management and Capital Markets to support client reporting and regulatory oversight, shaping strategy and ensuring accurate delivery.

The role demands deep regulatory know-how, executive communication, and strong leadership to navigate evolving tax regimes while fostering a culture of high performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Tax, Regulatory and/or Finance roles.
• Subject matter expertise in QI/FATCA/CRS and ability to digest complex issues quickly.
• Excellent storytelling, written and oral presentation skills with comfort engaging large audiences.
• High professional maturity and emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to listen actively, respectfully challenge, negotiate and influence outcomes.
• Holistic and creative thinking to grasp broader issues and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and lead diverse teams of subject matter experts for enablement and sustainability.
• Drive employee engagement, trust, inclusivity and continuous improvement.
• Guide large teams through uncertainty and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate across levels to understand needs and prioritize resources.
• Oversee budgets and forecasting for maintenance and new app development.
