Job summary

Hydro One in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Labour Relations Manager to lead complex bargaining and administer multiple collective agreements for represented staff. The role reports to the Director, Employee & Labour Relations and focuses on strategy, risk assessment, and mentoring Labour Relations Consultants.

Ideal candidates will have CHRP/CHRL/MIR/JD/LLB designation or equivalent, strong English communication, and extensive experience in labour relations for management.

Qualifications

• CHRP/CHRL/MIR/JD/LLB designation or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of Ontario employment law and related legislation.
• Strong negotiation skills with unions and management.
• Excellent English communication, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop Labour Relations Consultants.
• Participate in development and update of labour relations strategies and programs.
• Represent management in grievance proceedings and external hearings.
• Participate in collective bargaining negotiations as part of the management team.
• Assess risk and provide recommendations for managerial decisions in labour relations.
