Job summary

TVO Media Education Group in Toronto, ON is seeking a seasoned Labour and Employee Relations Manager to advise leaders on collective agreement interpretation, investigations, grievances and performance management in a highly unionized environment.

You will conduct fact-finding, support settlements, and coach leaders to strengthen their ability to manage in both unionized and non-unionized settings, while ensuring policy compliance and respectful workplaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi union public sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario labour and employment legislation.
• Experience guiding investigations, grievances and negotiations.
• Ability to interpret and administer collective agreements.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day labour and employee relations guidance to managers.
• Assist in administration of policies and collective agreements.
• Collaborate with unions and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Conduct investigations and prepare documentation.
• Support bargaining and settlement planning.
• Develop manager resources and training.
• Monitor legislation and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records.
