Job summary

BC Centre for Ability (BCCFA) is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR and labour relations in a multi-union health and community services environment.

The role reports to the CEO and oversees recruitment, total rewards, disability management, OH&S, and HRIS systems. Strong strategic thinking, policy development, and stakeholder relationship skills are essential for success in this unionized setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPHR designation strongly preferred (or active progression toward completion).
• Experience: minimum 5–7 years in HR, including managerial or lead advisory roles in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight across HR and labour relations functions.
• Lead development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
• Oversee labour relations strategy, collective agreements interpretation and compliance.
• Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Oversee total rewards, benefits, OH&S, and accreditation standards.
• Direct HR operations including ADP Workforce Now and data reporting.
