Job summary

Metrolinx in Toronto is seeking two HR Generalists to serve as trusted advisers to People Leaders across client groups. You will triage day-to-day HR matters, assess risk, and apply policies and legislation while partnering with HRBPs and COEs.

You will support reclassifications, transfers, policy implementation, and employee relations, engagement initiatives, and change management initiatives, ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Progressive generalist HR experience across PM, Talent, Org Design and Labour relations.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• Experience in public sector/ transportation is an asset.
• CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Triages day-to-day HR matters and advises leaders on next steps.
• Handles reclassifications, compassionate transfers and health reassignment info.
• Implements HR policies with client portfolios through training and coaching.
• Supports employee relations, performance, leaves and attendance issues.
• Partners with COEs to resolve exceptions and ensure compliance.
