Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a seasoned financial planning analyst to support a defined business portfolio in Canada. The role centers on delivering detailed financial and economic analyses to guide decision-making and drive value across revenue, cost management, and balance sheet optimization.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and present analyses clearly.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed financial and economic analyses to support decision making for the designated business portfolio.
• Supports/Leads financial planning, forecasting and performance reviews using plan, forecast and actuals to drive annual targets.
• Provides financial advice and coordinates with business leaders and Finance partners to improve revenue, costs and balance sheet.
• Performs variance analyses and ad-hoc analyses to understand drivers and opportunities for improvement.
