Job summary

Alto seeks a Senior Advisor, Environmental Stakeholder Liaison, to act as a strategic integrator across internal functions, ensuring planning and priorities align with organizational objectives. The role focuses on coordinating information exchange with environmental stakeholders including federal, provincial agencies, and municipal groups, and anticipating regulatory risk to keep approvals on schedule.

Reporting relationships include the Director of Impact Assessment - Ontario in the SPPE Unit;

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in infrastructure development with a strong focus on environmental assessment and permitting in Canada.
• Deep working knowledge of the federal Impact Assessment Act and IAAC processes; familiarity with provincial EA regimes.
• Proven track record liaising directly with regulators and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of activities across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment with priorities and objectives.
• Coordinate integration of socio-economic, environmental, Indigenous, health and community considerations into IA planning.
• Facilitate collaboration among Alto internal functions and private development partners for a unified IA approach.
• Support development and implementation of integrated work plans and schedules for studies, engagement activities and regulatory deliverables.
• Monitor interdependencies between design, environmental commitments, Indigenous consultation, and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Track commitments and deliverables related to socio-economic and community impact management.
