Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services team in Eastern Canada seeks an Environmental Planning and Approvals Senior Team Leader (STL). The STL reports to the BCOL and collaborates with BCPLs, PMs, and science leads to drive approvals, permitting, and field services.

You will lead Team Leaders, drive resource planning, support business development, and foster a safety‑driven, inclusive culture across Atlantic Canada and beyond. The role is hybrid with travel to client sites and Stantec offices.

Qualifications

• Highly organized and self-motivated leader with proven experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Dynamic leader who can motivate toward a shared vision and collaborate across multiple functions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Team Leaders, building engagement and performance.
• Oversee resource planning, staffing, and scheduling across projects and align skills with project needs.
• Support go/no-go evaluations, capture planning, and strategic opportunity reviews with leadership.
• Coach TLs to support career growth and succession planning and manage performance discussions.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute growth strategies and staff proposals and program initiatives.
