Job summary

Stantec is seeking Senior Environmental Planners/Project Managers to join our Assessment and Permitting team within the Environmental Services practice, working in Ottawa or Hamilton offices in Ontario. You will lead environmental assessment and permitting efforts across energy, infrastructure, mining, and community projects.

Qualifications

• University degree or related diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project management for environmental programs, with focus on energy, infrastructure, mining, or community development projects.
• Experience with Class EA, environmental impact assessments, and coordinating permits/approvals.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks and deliverables for environmental assessment and permitting processes.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, the public, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Write and coordinate proposals and reports tailored to project requirements.
• Oversee EIA-related programs and environmental compliance activities.
• Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements.
