Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks a senior environmental professional to lead environmental planning studies and approvals for Ontario projects, including power, renewable energy, and mining EA work. You will manage complex projects, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and mentor a team of scientists and planners.

The role offers a flexible Ontario-based location (Guelph, Markham, Ottawa, Toronto) with travel across Canada and opportunities for professional growth within a 1500+ team across North America.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related environmental discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
• Experience with power, renewable energy, and mining EA’s preferred.
• Familiarity with Indigenous communities in Canada and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning studies and approvals for Ontario projects.
• Prepare and review environmental assessments and related reports.
• Coordinate environmental permitting with regulatory agencies.
• Manage client relationships and project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Mentor and coach staff on projects; balance multiple projects.
