Job summary

Connective Support Society is seeking a Program Manager to lead and innovate within our programs, meeting client, funder, and regulator needs. You will plan, organize, staff, and monitor activities to achieve key targets, while ensuring compliant policies and staff performance.

The role requires managing day-to-day operations, fostering inclusive programs, and coordinating with government and community partners. Strong leadership and English communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional designation with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in Community Living, Mental Health, and Criminal Justice systems.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations of community-based programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Knowledge of staff recruitment, training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Implements policies and procedures and develops manuals, brochures and handbooks.
• Hires, supervises, evaluates, transfers and terminates staff and contractors per CUPE Local 1936-11 agreement and Connective policies.
• Manages staff shift schedules and ensures coverage.
• Orientation, supervision, in-service training and evaluation of staff/volunteers.
• Maintains documentation of resources staff and contractor files; responsible for financial and administrative aspects of programs.
• Designs and maintains effective, inclusive support programs; supports strategic direction.
• Liaises with Connective staff for referrals; facilitates person-centered planning.
• Maintains relationships with community services and government stakeholders.
• Ensures facilities meet fire, health and safety regulations and are safe for clients.
• Provides on-call coverage for staff emergencies.
