Job summary

People Corporation in Calgary seeks a Managing Consultant to retain and grow relationships for group benefits clients. You will work with supporting teams to identify products and solutions that enhance the client benefits journey.

Responsibilities include preparing market specs, analyzing carrier proposals, and guiding client renewals with a collaborative, data-driven approach. A Life LLQP license is required and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) relevant to Commerce or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in group benefits in a client facing role.
• Understanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangements.
• A Life license (LLQP) is required.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency with multi-channel technology.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Set a strategic consulting plan for client relationships.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities adding value for clients.
• Review plan performance and client files to understand the claims experience.
• Prepare market specifications using internal and external quoting systems.
• Analyze data and multiple carrier proposals; prepare cost comparisons and recommendations.
• Perform ad hoc investigations of claims data to explain trends.
