Job summary

People Corporation seeks an Associate Benefits Consultant to design and manage group medical, dental, life and disability benefits for mid-to-large clients. You will support the team, develop client plans, and contribute to renewal analyses and carrier negotiations.

You will collaborate with Benefits Consultants and analysts, mentor junior staff, and travel within the GTA to meet clients and deliver services. LLQP or Life License is a plus and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in group benefits, benefits consulting, group insurance, underwriting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of group benefits plans incl. medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across clients, carriers and colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, assess benefit plans, analyze costs, and develop recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to create client presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and management of group benefits for clients.
• Develop strategies to support client retention and mitigate risk.
• Assess client group insurance risks and recommend plan designs.
• Prepare renewals, cost analyses, and presentation materials.
• Ensure smooth transition of benefits to new carriers and map plans.
