Job summary

Dr. Rachel Navaneelan & Associates in Cornwall, Ontario, is seeking a Sterilization Assistant to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and maintained in accordance with IPAC standards. You will operate sterilization equipment, document testing, and keep precise records to support audit readiness.

The role is a replacement position with an hourly wage of $20–$25, and a team-focused environment that emphasizes patient care, safety, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Sterilization experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT program is preferred.
• IPAC (infection prevention and control) knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments per IPAC standards and provincial regulations.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Keep reprocessing area clean, safe, and organized following health protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

Monday: 8.00am - 5.00pm

Tuesday: 8.00am - 5.00pm

Wednesday: 8.00am - 6.00pm

Thursday: 8.00am - 5.00pm

Friday: 8.00am - 1.00pm

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is$20-$25/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations

About You:

• Previousclinicalexperience workingin sterilizationroleis consideredan asset
