Job summary

BayCare Health System at BayCare Health System, Sterile Processing-SJH, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician. You will decontaminate, prep, package, and sterilize instrumentation following department procedures to ensure sterile, ready-to-use medical equipment.

A high school diploma is required and certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire. Hospital experience is preferred; evening shift 2:30pm–11:00pm; on-site role with on-call and every-third weekend schedule.

Sterile Processing Tech - Noncert Responsibilities

• Responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.
