Job Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time State Account Manager (SAM), available at any Concordance location or fully remote. The primary role involves growing new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities within their region or market segment, promoting profitability that exceeds budgets and aligns with strategic goals. The SAM will develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to identify and secure new contracts, maintain existing business, and meet corporate objectives.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include capturing new business via contracts, sourcing, and expanding existing contracts to generate profitable revenue. The SAM will introduce Concordance’s value proposition, attend networking events, build relationships with supply chain members, and collaborate internally to support vendor relations and growth initiatives. The role requires executing strategies for the private sector, providing performance feedback to management, and staying informed on industry trends.

  1. Disrupt markets by closing profitable sales and increasing market share.
  2. Conduct in-person meetings with private sector personnel and government agencies.
  3. Work autonomously, quickly learning systems and value propositions.
  4. Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.
  5. Support vendor relationships with focus on growth and incentives.
  6. Participate in industry events and internal meetings.
  7. Collaborate with leadership in government business development.
  8. Travel up to 70% as needed.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Healthcare, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and cultural alignment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Private Sector government agencies and procurement methods.
  • Professional selling and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of State Government purchasing practices and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret contractual and procurement documents.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proven success in business development and account management.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
Work Location and Compensation

Location: Concordance site or remote.

Salary: $90,000 - $135,000 annually.
