Job summary

Antec Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing business. You will report to the Controller and gain hands-on experience across all accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting support, with collaboration to identify process improvements and strengthen controls across the business.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progress toward an accounting designation (CPA prep or enrollment) is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system.
• Assist with inventory accounting, manufacturing transactions, and reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and account variances.
• Support process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
• Support annual audits and compliance requirements.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
