The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Marketing role is part of the Brand Strategy & Content team. The portfolio includes a balance of Brand, Partnerships, and leading our Social initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who is a fan, thinks like a fan, and acts like a fan of the brand. Someone who understands the modern customer, including their expectations and their dislikes. The ideal candidate is familiar with these nuances and can translate that knowledge into innovative strategies that elevate our creative approach and push the brand towards culturally inspired ideas.

Duties
  • Lead our Social vision for always-on and social-first programs.
  • Inspire agency partners to develop marketing campaigns that are creative, effective, and drive business results.
  • Provide clear and impactful program briefs to facilitate creative development, media planning, and digital activations following the One McDonald’s Way of Marketing process.
  • Align key stakeholders on campaign ideas, execution, and performance insights.
  • Review and approve campaign assets, including scripts, casting, POP, and creative assets.
  • Support your team in executing plans by collaborating across functions such as product development, consumer research, business analysis, and more.
  • Monitor and understand program sales results and trends.
  • Build strong relationships with agencies and cross-functional teams to maximize performance.
  • Focus on team development, including coaching and career growth.
Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of marketing experience in consumer retail, packaged goods, or service marketing.
  • Proven leadership and creative marketing skills with a track record of delivering exceptional creative work.
  • Experience in campaign development, execution, and production.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to lead teams through change and manage projects successfully.
  • Experience with category management.
  • Ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards common goals.
  • Curiosity and skill in gaining insights through questioning.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across functions.
