The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Marketing role is part of the Brand Strategy & Content team. The portfolio includes a balance of Brand, Partnerships & leading our Social initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who is a fan, thinks like a fan, and acts like a fan of the brand. Someone who understands the modern customer, including their expectations and what they do not want from brands. The ideal candidate is familiar with these nuances and can translate that knowledge into innovative ideas that elevate our creative strategy and push the brand towards culturally inspired, groundbreaking concepts.

Duties
  • Leading our Social vision for always-on and social-first programs
  • Inspiring agency partners to develop marketing campaigns that are creatively effective, drive the brand, connect with consumers, and deliver business results
  • Providing clear and impactful program briefs to facilitate exceptional creative work, effective media plans, and integrated digital activations using the One McDonald’s Way of Marketing process
  • Aligning key stakeholders across the system on campaign ideas, execution, and performance insights
  • Reviewing and approving campaign assets such as scripts, casting, POP, and creative materials throughout development
  • Supporting your team in executing plans by working collaboratively across functions, including product development, consumer research, business analysis, forecasting, pricing, campaign development, digital integration, internal communications, and restaurant execution
  • Monitoring and understanding program sales results and trends
  • Building strong relationships and fostering teamwork among agencies, marketing teams, and cross-functional partners to maximize performance
  • Focusing on team development—building high-performing teams, supporting career growth, and providing guidance and coaching
Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of marketing experience in consumer retail, packaged goods, or service marketing
  • Effective leadership and creative marketing skills with a track record of delivering innovative and exceptional creative work
  • Experience in campaign development, execution, and production, with a focus on creative excellence
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
  • Ability to lead teams through change and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Proven project management skills, capable of framing projects, developing solutions, and leading cross-functional efforts to successful completion
  • Experience in category management
  • Ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards common goals
  • Curiosity and insight-driven questioning to understand needs and opportunities
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across functional areas
