A leading company in security technology is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician based in Ontario, Canada. This role involves ensuring user satisfaction through advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mobile x-ray units. We are currently seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to be part of our fast-paced and quality-focused team. The candidate for this position must be based out of Ontario, Canada.
A Sr. Field Service Technician (Sr. FST) with Rapiscan has the primary responsibility of ensuring user satisfaction with Rapiscan’s equipment. This senior role requires advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, the ability to operate independently, and to assist FSE I, FSE II, & Senior FSEs with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing recommendations to management regarding system performance, enhancements, and safety.
This position involves reporting on system status, including Uptime Availability and Mean Time to Repair, as well as reviewing logistics plans for parts stocking based on usage reports to meet SLA requirements. Approximately 70-80% of time will be spent on field repairs and maintenance, with 20-30% supporting other FSEs, working with clients, and collaborating with offices to improve equipment availability, service revenue, reporting, and supporting sales and marketing activities.
The role requires resolving complex client issues through technical expertise and excellent client handling skills. Routine tasks include Emergency Service, Contract Service, New Product Support, Maintenance, Customer Training, and Sales Support. The Sr. FST will also train and assist other FSEs and provide corrective action recommendations to support teams and engineering.
This position is based out of Ontario, Canada, and requires fluency in both English and French (mandatory).
