Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $25.00/hr

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Field Service Technician based in Ontario to join our team. In this role, you'll handle hardware, software, and network setup, configuration, and maintenance-both in-house and at client sites. You'll play a key role in preparing and shipping equipment, managing inventory, assisting with installations, and providing front-line technical support. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, configure, and ship hardware and networking equipment for new and existing clients.
  • Perform hardware, software, and network installations and maintenance, both remotely and on-site.
  • Support client installations to ensure configurations meet standards and expectations.
  • Manage inventory, including tracking equipment and processing RMAs.
  • Test and evaluate new hardware and software products for integration.
  • Complete administrative duties related to technical operations and service tickets.
  • Provide Tier I support as part of the help desk team, resolving client issues efficiently.
  • Conduct on-site visits for service and installations as needed.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergency support.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Valid Class D driver's license and ability to travel for service calls.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 pounds) as part of installation/setup duties.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing technical needs and customer requests.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with networking systems.


Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $15-25/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
