A leading company in security technology seeks a Senior Field Service Technician based in Ontario, Canada. The role involves maintaining and repairing mobile x-ray units, resolving client issues, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong technical expertise, proficiency in English and French, and the ability to work independently in the field.
We are currently seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to be part of our fast-paced and quality-focused team. The candidate for this position will need to be based out of Ontario, Canada.
A Senior Field Service Technician (Sr. FST) with Rapiscan is primarily responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with Rapiscan’s equipment performance. This senior role requires advanced troubleshooting, diagnostic skills, and the ability to operate independently. The Sr. FST will also support FSE I, FSE II, and other senior technicians with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing recommendations to management regarding system performance, enhancements, and safety.
This role involves reporting on system status, including Uptime Availability and Mean Time to Repair, and reviewing logistics plans for parts stocking levels based on usage reports to meet SLA requirements. Approximately 70-80% of time will be spent on field repairs and maintenance, with 20-30% supporting other FSEs, clients, and internal teams to improve equipment availability, service revenue, and support sales and marketing activities.
The ideal candidate will resolve complex client issues through technical expertise and excellent client handling skills. Tasks include Emergency and Contract Service, New Product Support, Maintenance, Customer Training, and Sales Support. The Sr. FST will also train and assist other technicians and provide feedback to support teams and engineering.
This position is based in Ontario, Canada, and requires fluency in both written and spoken English and French.
