An established industry player is seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to enhance and manage their database systems. As an SQL Server database administrator (DBA), you design, configure, administer and improve SQL Server databases and data structures on premises and on the cloud. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You ensure the optimal use, security, integrity and maintenance of Desjardins Group’s databases. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of work. More specifically, you will be required to:
Deploy, configure and support SQL Server database services in IaaS and PaaS modes for the environments and applications concerned, ensuring their integrity, security and performance
Conceptualize, implement and update database structures
Advise parties involved on database management, use and access
Help develop automation solutions for the ongoing configuration, installation, maintenance, delivery and rollout of SQL Server and Azure SQL services
Draft and update system and database documents.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience working on projects in large organizations
Knowledge of French is required
Knowledge of Azure SQL, SQL Server 2012 to 2022, AlwaysOn, T-SQL, PowerShell, Windows Server
Knowledge of VMware and Azure environments
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, CosmosDB, Flyway, Ansible
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
Availability to work evenings and weekends on request during rollouts
