Position Overview

We’re seeking a Database Administrator to remotely join our team. This role manages and maintains Postgres and Microsoft SQL Servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will also contribute to developing and implementing data standards, procedures, and best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor database performance, apply patches, and implement updates
• Assist in database design and optimization
• Ensure database integrity, stability, and system availability
• Maintain backup and recovery systems
• Implement database security protocols
• Perform installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations
• Support developers with database needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation

About You

Your experience may include:

• 3-5 years as a DBA with Postgres and Microsoft SQL
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Strong understanding of database structures and best practices
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
