Job summary

Specialist, Talent Acquisition – 12 months contract

ROLE SUMMARY :

The Specialist, Talent Acquisition, is responsible for sourcing, identifying, screening, and hiring candidates for various roles at our Montreal Operations. This includes managing internship programs and our third-party contractor agency hires. The TA Specialist also handles orientation and benefits enrollment for new hires.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate criteria.
  • Prepare and post job openings promptly on internal and external platforms.
  • Source candidates via online channels such as LinkedIn, company career site, recruitment agencies, etc.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and provide suitable candidates to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, participate in first-round interviews, and give feedback.
  • Extend job offers and manage pre-employment screenings.
  • Support hiring managers in interview and selection skills development.
  • Manage internship programs and oversee third-party contractor activities, including posting jobs, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Coordinate onboarding and co-employment training with third-party agencies.
  • Organize new hire orientation and benefits enrollment.
  • Develop sourcing and employer branding strategies to build candidate pipelines.
  • Maintain recruitment records and documentation.
  • Track KPIs and prepare recruitment reports.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about progress and issues.
  • Participate in recruitment-related projects.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant recruitment experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical) is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday).
  • Knowledge of behavior-based interview techniques.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build trust.
  • Team player with collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
