Placements24 is seeking a Specialist Recruitment Consultant focused on the Mining & Minerals sector to join our Kimberley team. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, source geologists, engineers and operational managers, and build strong client relationships in the Northern Cape mining landscape.

You will shape sourcing strategies, conduct rigorous interviews, provide market insights and salary benchmarks, and guide offers to successful outcomes.

About the Role

Our client, a niche recruitment consultancy, is seeking a dedicated Specialist Recruitment Consultant with a focus on the Mining & Minerals sector to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role requires a deep understanding of the mining industry's operational and technical requirements to effectively source and place professionals across various disciplines, from geologists and engineers to operational managers and safety officers. You will be instrumental in connecting top talent with leading mining companies in the region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for positions within the mining and minerals sector.
• Source and attract highly skilled candidates, including geologists, mining engineers, metallurgists, surveyors, and operational managers.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to build a strong pipeline of talent within the mining industry.
• Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability, technical expertise, and cultural fit.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining and minerals sector.
• Provide clients with market insights, salary benchmarks, and advice on recruitment best practices.
• Manage the offer process, ensuring a positive experience for both clients and candidates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in recruitment, with a demonstrated specialization in the Mining & Minerals sector.
• Strong understanding of various roles within mining operations, exploration, and processing.
• Excellent candidate sourcing skills using online platforms, professional networks, and industry-specific channels.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment assignments effectively.
• Familiarity with the Northern Cape mining landscape is a plus.
• A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
