Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a highly specialized Recruitment Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Lead Recruitment Consultant to spearhead its operations within the Mining and Resources sector. This position is entirely remote, offering the ultimate flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be based operationally in the vicinity of Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA , but will not be required to attend a physical office. The role involves leading recruitment initiatives, managing a portfolio of high-value clients, and sourcing critical talent for major mining, exploration, and processing companies. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the mining industry's unique talent needs, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive results in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities

Lead the recruitment process for specialized roles within the Mining and Resources sector, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. Manage and develop relationships with key clients, acting as their primary recruitment partner. Develop and implement advanced sourcing strategies to identify and attract top-tier talent, including engineers, geologists, metallurgists, and operational leaders. Conduct rigorous candidate assessments, including technical interviews and reference checks. Provide expert advice and market intelligence to clients on talent acquisition and retention strategies. Mentor and guide junior recruitment consultants within the team. Drive business development efforts to expand the client base and secure new mandates. Ensure a superior candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Stay updated on industry trends, safety regulations, and technological advancements in the mining sector.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience in recruitment, with a strong focus and proven track record in the Mining and Resources sector. Demonstrated ability to lead recruitment projects and manage client relationships at a senior level. In-depth knowledge of technical roles within mining operations, exploration, and processing. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and advanced sourcing techniques. Proven ability to lead and thrive in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and strong time management. Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Human Resources, or a related field is highly desirable.
