The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students with exceptional needs within the school setting. The role involves collaboration with teachers and staff to ensure inclusive, quality learning experiences for diverse learners.

Responsibilities include assisting students with Autism spectrum and developmental disabilities, supporting deaf/hard of hearing or visually impaired students, and participating in pool programs and specialized activities.

Responsibilities

• Support students with exceptional needs within the school.
• Assist students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities.
• Participate in pool programs, academic support, and implement special programs.
• Support deaf/hard of hearing or visually impaired students; assist with related therapies.
• Modify programs for learning disabilities and speech/language issues; provide related support.
• Possible outside yard duties, lifting, toileting, and pool duties.
