Job summary

City of Edmonton invites a Workspace Planning Co-op Student to join the Infrastructure Services Department beginning January 2027 for a 4-month term. The role focuses on workspace assessments, space planning, and furniture layouts, with duties including site meetings and documentation.

You will gain experience in stakeholder relations, booking systems, and vendor/contract management while enrolled in an architectural design technology or related diploma program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in related field.
• Experience with Google Workspace and AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license or provincial equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Aid with workspace assessments by completing project documentation and liaising with business partners.
• Assist in stakeholder relations and functional program creation.
• Assist with office furniture management, tracking requests and attending site meetings.
• Design support through space planning, interior design and furniture layouts.
• Assist with workspace booking system and requests for changes.
• Assist with vendor and contract management.
