Qualifications

• Interior Design Technology Diploma or Interior Design Degree preferred.
• Equivalent qualifications in Architectural Design Technology or Architecture may be considered with demonstrated experience in space planning, workplace planning, functional programming, interior environments and/or facilities planning.
• Minimum 5 years of related interior design experience within a post-secondary, institutional, or complex organizational environment.

Responsibilities

• Space Planning & Workplace Strategy: Consult with stakeholders to understand current and future space needs and propose options.
• Furniture & Interior Design: Review design proposals to meet NAIT standards and objectives.
• Space Management: Maintain space inventory data systems and support planning data.
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships and present planning reports to leadership.
• Leadership & Team Support: Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
