Job summary

Aramark in Montreal is seeking a Sous Chef for the National Bank Executive Lounge, to lead a high-volume kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. You will assist the Executive Chef, train staff, manage budgets, ensure food safety, and collaborate with catering events for client mandates.

Candidates with at least 5 years in food service, MAPAQ certificate is asset, and diploma in restaurant management or equivalent are encouraged to apply;

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in catering preparation and execution.
  • Experience managing and supervising employees (strongly preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Ability to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Passion, energy, professionalism, and a positive attitude with contagious enthusiasm.
  • Excellent stress management skills, with the ability to remain calm and maintain high performance in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to uphold exceptional service standards while managing high guest volumes.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.

  • Optimize food and labor costs.
