Job summary

Aramark is seeking a hands-on Chef Manager to lead daily food service operations at a client site in Canada. You will supervise the Cook and Cashier, oversee food quality, safety, inventory, and client relations, and actively participate in food preparation each day.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules via Kronos, support menu development, ensure HACCP compliance, and drive cost control while delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year College Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Management, Food Service Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of supervisory or management experience within food service, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment.
  • Cooking certification or Red Seal certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
  • Current FoodSafe certification, is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management, scheduling systems, and food service software, is preferred.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Chef Manager to lead the daily food service operation at our client site. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary leader who enjoys balancing kitchen production responsibilities with operational management.


The successful candidate will work in the kitchen every day while overseeing food quality, safety, inventory, staffing, and client relations. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to creating a positive dining experience for our guests.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Management


  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to the site's Cook and Cashier.

Security Clearance Requirement

Successful candidates must complete and maintain all required background checks and client‑specific security clearance requirements. Employment is conditional upon receiving satisfactory clearance approval prior to starting employment.
