Job summary

Aramark in Mississauga, ON seeks an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations for a large business dining operation. You’ll drive daily food and catering services, including a cafeteria, Tim Hortons, and events, while developing staff, ensuring safety and delivering on client relations.

The role focuses on team development, culinary excellence, and budget execution. A hands-on leader capable of managing food and labour costs is essential for success in this scratch kitchen.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 5 years culinary experience.
• Culinary diploma or degree is required.
• Experience in operating a scratch kitchen, menu development and various cooking methods.
• Ability to manage food and labour costs, prepare and submit budget reports as required.
• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily specials and manage the cafeteria services for the client.
• Prepare catered meals for buffet, delivery or pick up services as required.
• Train and manage a staff of 8, coordinate culinary activities.
• Place orders, conduct inventory, schedule staff and source from various vendors.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.
• Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality in this scratch kitchen.
• Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen.

Aramark is recruiting an Executive Chef for our culinary services at a business dining operation in Mississauga, ON. The Executive Chef is responsible for managing the kitchen operations and provides support in the execution of daily food and catering services. The operation includes a large cafeteria, a Tim Hortons, and some catered luncheons and events.

The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00.
